    shot in the foot?

flashback: im a newly wed and im filing bk 7 solo.. i have two motorcycles that my lawyer says have to go, so they are being repoed...

my wife is not working due to a back operation, but she got an inheritance a couple of years ago, that keeps her going.. my lawyer said that her assets are not an issue in my bk and she technically has no salary...

when i came home, i found that my new bride had gone out an bought (financed a new harley davidson) in her name... yes, she rides a bike too...

its too late to take it back, is this going to cause me problems in my bk??

i got rid of my uside down toyota truck and i plan on claiming her honda in my expenses, due to the fact that i make the payments on it...

i had planned on filing bk next month..

    I'm sorry for your situation.

If the new bike is in her name only then it shouldn't create a problem for you (in the bk that is).

Why is it too late to bring back the bike? Even if it is, it's not too late to sell it. Although I'm sure it's already worth less than what is owed on it. I do know if my wife did this with out my knowledge there would be bigger issues than the ones pertaining to a BK. But that's another discussion.

In reality the questions you pose are best asked to your lawyer.
