it sounds like chase has screwed me.. it would have been wiped out in the bk, but now i have to worry about the IRS>

Get a tax professional/expert to do your return because you have a high chance of getting audited due to claiming insolvency under the IRS standards and you will need that professional representation. Get all your records together nicely cause you probably will need them. Best of luck to you.
