Question Problems and I haven't even filed yet

I have sent 70% of my paperwork to the attorney, and my mom paid $1,000 of the $1,300. However, this morning, I fell and broke my ankle!!!!! My new insurance kicked in 20 days ago and I am responsible for the first $2,500. I do not have the $2,500. My regular physican's office was so inefficient today, they failed to check if I needed a co-pay so I walked out of there without paying anything. Due to today's events, he will no longer be my physican and I will add today's $175 charge for an x-ray Rx to my bankruptcy. (Long story, but he neglected to inform me of the results until after 5:00 so I could not get in to see an ortho to set the bone or boot me or anything).

Tomorrow I have an appt. with the ortho. That's going to cost about $2,000 I'm expecting. How should I handle that. I have no credit card to pay him, nor any money. It must be mercury retrograde because things are not going well lately.

They will bill you. I don't get a bill until after my insurance has paid and they know what was covered or not covered. Let your attorney know about this added debt so that he can include it.

Hope you get this taken care of soon and have a speedy recovery.

The ortho. will know the minute they call and see I have not paid -0- towards my $2,500 deductible. Will they even treat me?

If they won't treat you, go to the emergency room. You will be treated there.

They would actually call about a deductible? I have a deductible and they don't call to see what is covered and what is not. And if there is a deductible or not.

Because you can think ahead doesn't mean they can. I suspect you give them much more credit than they deserve.
So the poor debtor, seeing naught around him
Yet feels the narrow limits that impound him
Grieves at his debt and studies to evade it
And finds at last he might as well have paid it.

The doctor's office has no idea what your deductible status is. They will bill your insurance one of these days, and the insurance will take 30 days to tell them that you still are under the the annual deductible. Then the Dr.'s office will bill you and give you 30 days to pay. If they are anything like my clinic, you won't get your first bill from the doctor or xray lab for 60 - 120 days.

I have never paid my $15 deductible at time of service - they send me a bill after insurance.
