The wait is driving me crazy

Our 341 is next week. It consumes my every thought, every day. My hubby seems to sleep like a baby, and when I ask him if it drives him nuts, he tells me "we have our lawyer to do the worrying for us".
    Wish that worked for me.

We are a fairly straighforward case, but what if WERE the ones that it dosen't go good for.. then what!

I think I may have a nervous breakdown before next Thursday.

Thats all, just had to get it off my chest!
    Filing cpt.7 11/09 341- 1/21/10
    Report of no distribution 1/21/10
Scheduled for discharge 3/22/10 (on my 15th wedding anniversary!)

Lawyers can't worry for you. It's ultimately you that's responsible. I don't see how anyone can be stressed before the 341, unless you have something to hide...

Gosh, the 341 really isn't worth your every thought. I think this is a negative consequence of participating on the BK Forum or reading extensively on BK. Since I filed, I've had the opportunity to discuss BK with discharged BKers. I'm often surprised by how little they know about BK. The 341, from their perspective, was a simple meeting...not a big, bad, threatening, fear-worthy session. Their attorney told them to be at X place at X time. They attended, answered a few questions, and left. If this experience wasn't significant for them, why should it be for us? Oh...yeah, we're educated and we've read a few not-so-pretty stories. It's important to remember the MAJORITY of 341 experiences shared here are positive and painless. It's even more important to realize that the majority of people who are discharged from BK don't participate on the BK Forum.

I think many of us feel our cases are unique. Fortunately, most of us aren't that "cool"! If you've been honest and appear to have a straight-forward case, you really don't have to worry. I prepared for my 341 and my preparations were futile. Not a single, case-specific question I anticipated surfaced. Like you, I pondered the "what if" possibility. What if I wasn't discharged? Well, I've conquered hurdles in life in the past and I'd have to devise a new plan. I didn't waste significant time on this...instead, I focused on what if I'm discharged without issue.

      Best of luck to you!

I think he meant it more as, what worrying going to do. Its not going to change the outcome. I seriously doubt our lawyer thinks of us unless needed.
If you don't see how anyone can be stressed out before the 341, you are a calm cool character, and mabey needen't chime in on someone who is stressed.
But hey, thanks for.. whatever that was.

We're all wired differently and nothing wrong with that!
Try and focus on the positive. If your case is clearcut it will go well and if there are issues you have legal representation to sort it out.
The big thing is, the phone has stopped ringing with dunning calls and you're not getting nasty mail from creditors. Your paycheck is yours to keep. You've the opportunity to rebuild. You got a lot of good stuff going for you right now. This 341 is just part of the process for a new beginning.

We have ours next week too. We really don't think about very much. I prepared everything we needed for the meeting and the day will come soon enough.

Well, it certainly made me feel better that our microwave broke tonite, and we needed a new one asap (or our 18 year old son would starve).

We were able to go buy one with CASH, it was pretty much all we had for expendable income this month, but thats ok, we paid for it and its ours free and clear!
Mabey thats what I needed to remind me why this is the best for us!

              (We've had a LONG wait for 341.. 9 weeks!)
