Voicemail is a remarkable tool! The bonus...most of my creditors didn't leave messages! The time between missed payments and filing was short-lived for me since my foolish (formerly) FICO-driven self made payments while "planning" my BK. The ignore feature on phones is priceless. One ring and they're gone! I only answered one call from my mortgage company. The gent deemed himself "Mister Payne" (isn't that catchy?!!). He couldn't find my file and I kindly refused to give my SS# to anyone by such a name. Interestingly, he understood.

If the calls become bothersome/disruptive and you've retained an attorney, you may be able to pass them along to your attorney.

You may not need to notify your creditors of your BK status post-filing. Like you, I had the "biggies". Not one of them attempted to contact me within days of filing.
