    Best buy notice of apperance?

    Just looking at Pacer, and HSBC (Best buy) is the only thing I see so far, but it is some notice of apperance?
    Is that to assume they will be at my 341? I looked at the info, and it basically stated that all notices should be sent to their atty..etc.

    Should I expect them to be there, or is this just typical of some cc's to want all info. on the case sent to them??

    Thanks!

    First...what is the back story here...

    What did you buy;
    When did you buy it;
    How much did you spend; and
    Did you make any payments on the card?

      I have the same notice on the docket for my case. I think it's a change of address for where to send notices, since the address provided is not the one used in the matrix (we used the address on the statement).

      In our case, they can't possibly be wanting to quiz me or object, because I haven't charged anything more than $50 at a time in a couple of years, and certainly not in the last 6 months. The only large purchase was a keyboard (since dead) bought 8 years ago.

      (Ample proof that minimum payments get you nowhere fast.)

        we owe'd them about $2300, have made many many payments, but charged at TV in August for $400, and then made a $400 payment the next week. We charged it for our son, and he gave us the cash, and we made the payment to make the portion that was intrest free until Jan. 2010 go down. We also had our computer crash, and hubby needs one for work, it is not a luxury, it is an absolute necessity (I know they don't care), and we bought the least expensive computer we could possibly get.
        Other than that, it was all from the year or two before, and we always made payments.
        The last 7 months or so, I've been sending at least $100, when minumum was $23 because our promotional period was up in January.

        We paid on them through October, and filed in Nov.

        Does that help any?

        Thanks.

            Not a problem, nothing to worry about. You might get a letter and a phone call asking when you are going reaffirm and threatening to take back what you bought, just ignore it, they will go away.

            Let me guess, the attorney's are Bass & Assoc. ?

              I got the same notice. I sweat bullets. My lawyer told me it meant nothing. After the case was discharged I received a phone call from a collection agency on behalf of Best Buy telling me that they needed to make arrangements to pick up the collateral or I could enter into a "voluntary" agreement to repay them the money I owed their client.

              My lawyer sent them a brief one paragraph letter that stated they must have missed the motion to exempt the household goods specifically mentioning those items. He attached a copy of the motion with the judge's signature on it, they called one more time after that and have since faded into the woodwork.
