    Distance learning

    Hello to all,

I am considering doing a course for medical transcription through a distance learning program. I'm 37 years old and have no career training what-so-ever. I can't afford to go to a regular local college so I thought this would be the next best thing for me.

Does anyone know if this type of schooling would be considered "real" schooling for purposes of expenses in bk? Do school expenses have to be of a certain type, or do payments made for schooling have to be made to a certain kind of learning institution in order to be considered a valid school expense?

Also, if anyone has any experience with distance learning I would love to hear about it.

For what it's worth, I've never read anything in the Bankruptcy Code that reads that a school/higher learning needs to be from an accredited school (whether nationally or State).
