    The Stay/post-filing question

So is the stay in affect until the case is closed? After the 341 meeting, etc?

Also it says on the paperwork I received from the court says that there is only 30 days after the 341 meeting to to file objections. So would it still stay open for 60 days? or just the 30, if there are no objections?

    Thanks!

The stay is FOREVER, unless your case is dismissed. If you make it to discharge, the crditors can never contact you again. The only exception would be if they could later PROVE fraud. That would require a filing motion to reopen the case, and is very rare.

For secured debts, it is different, the above applies to unsecured. Also, there are differences in CH 13.

The 341 is your main date. The 60 days til discharge doesn't mean much. Just the trustee filing papers and so on. 30 days after is your main mark.

    Good luck.
