PACER Question / Chapter 7 BK

    Hi Everybody!

This is my first post. Thanks for all of the great information and peace of mind you have all provided during this process!

I have a quick question. My 341 meeting for my Chapter 7 case was 11/6/2009, and I've been following my case in PACER ever since.

About an hour ago, my attorney filed my Post-Filing Education certificate in PACER, and it shows up with the title "Chapter 9 Final Report" in the case history. Is this correct? It seems odd to me. Also, the DebtEd flag still appears on my file. Does this take some time to go away? Or is it still there because this should have been called something other than "Chapter 9 Final Report"? Thanks for your help!

    10/02/2009 - Filed Chapter 7
    11/06/2009 - 341 Meeting Went Great
    11/06/2009 - Trustee's Report Of No Distribution
01/05/2010 - End Of The 60 Day Objection Period

Maybe your attorney, or his assistant, marked the document wrong. It happens. Just call and ask why it's showing up as a Final Report and not "Certification of Completion of Instructional Course Concerning Personal Financial Management with Certificate of Debtor Education Provided by Agency Attached".

    Chapter 7 (No Asset/Non-Consumer) Filed (Pro Se) 7/08 (converted from Chapter 13 - 2/10)
Status: (Auto) Discharged and Closed! 5/10

      Thanks JustBroke!

I checked Pacer again, and the BK Court clerk caught the error and notified my attorney to refile the Post-Filing ED Certificate with the correct heading, which he promptly did. The DebtEd flag is now gone from my file in PACER.

Another hurdle behind me. Almost there...

I'm happy to hear that your attorney quickly made the change once the BK Clerk sent a notice.
