Filing for BK but only have part time job

I lost my job for the second time in a year and a now again behind in everything with two creditors suing me in court. I immediately have taken any opportunity to get any kind of work for income and have landed at least one part time job to at least get some income for things.

Over the past 3 years my husband divorced me and I had to move out of our home as i could not buy him out.
I fell behind with bill shortly after and it has been downhill ever since. Lost my job in Jan 2008 and again just in October 2009 so that set me behind once again. My car company is threatening with reposession as they will not apply any of the piddly payments I have been sending them with money that I have been gettting.
Mortgage company is processing my paperwork for a loan modification since my income has changed drastically once again.
I have been told to file for BK but do not have any kind of money to pay any attorneys to do it can anyone tell me if it is at all possible to do it on your own? And I have only had my house for 2 years and don't want to lose it already.
Any suggestions would most appreciated really I have no idea on what to do.

Where are you located? Most attorneys (including me) do require some payment before a C13 is filed so there is some skin in the game.
I am a Pennsylvania Eastern and Middle District Bankruptcy, FDCPA, FCRA and Foreclosure Defense attorney, information I post is based on experience in these districts. It is not legal counsel, consider it friendly counsel.

I'm going pro se, but would prefer a lawyer. In California the courts waive most of the fee if you are low income. The Nolo book is really good and informative, almost essential.

But I wouldn't take advice from me cause I'm learning as I go.
