Ch7 soon, but what is the credit card collection process

We are planning on filing Ch7, but have not decieded on exactly when to file. We are now 3 months behind on credit cards. Can anyone tell me the process the credit cards use in collecting the debt? I am already getting collection calls, but what happens next and how long does it usually take to go to the next step after collection calls?

I just posted about this, and I don't know how to attach it. It is on the second page called "Roughly how long do I have before getting sued" A lot of responses that made me feel so much better. I am getting tons of calls from 8 am to 9 pm every hour on the hour. We aren't filing until February and we stopped paying on everything late Sept and early October.
