    Recommend a Houston BK attorney?

It occurs to me, rather than slogging thru endless posts looking for people with TX connections, that I could simply ask forum members for recommendations on a BK attorney in Houston, TX (or metro). As valuable as a "hire him!" referral is a "stay away" comment! I have met with two and may do another consult or two...it would be nice to go in with knowledge of someone's personal experience. I'm considering Ch 7 early next year.

I would prefer any replies by Direct Message, please.

    Thanks so much.

I have a friend who practices in the Houston area, PM me and I'll get you the information. I won't post a referral on a public message board.
I am a Pennsylvania Eastern and Middle District Bankruptcy, FDCPA, FCRA and Foreclosure Defense attorney, information I post is based on experience in these districts. It is not legal counsel, consider it friendly counsel.

The best way to find a reputable attorney is to contact the State Bar association for the state in which one resides and ask for recommendations for BK attorney's in your vicinity. Upon getting some referral names, you can research them online as many attorney's have their entire profiles viewable online via their lawfirm website. Your state bar association should be located in your phone book in your "state" section and may have a listing under the "lawyer" section.
