Judgement against someone for non payment of rent

I recently filed for bankruptcy and forgot to tell my lawyer that i have a $5,000 judgement against an old tenant for non payment of rent 4 years ago. I have no way to contact this person , no social security number or anything and i believe the person actually passed away. Am i in trouble for this. I honestly forgot to tell my lawyer because i knew there was no way to collect it.

    No, not in trouble.

You should tell your lawyer. You will need to amend your petition to add this creditors, and because it is judgment, you WANT to add this creditor. At the very least, you can notify the court where the judgment was entered.

You can always amend your filing. If you have not had your 341 yet just tell your attorney.

If the TT wants to go after the money it's on him, not you.
