That is almost the same as a will. You have no rights to the property till somebody croaks.

Some deeds confer an interest as soon as they are executed. Others, like the Ladybird deed, only confer an interest on death. It all depends on how it was done and in what state. Regardless, if it did not fall in the BK 6 month period, all should be fine.11-20-09-- Filed Chapter 7

The only thing the UST knows at this point is that {person who hates you} filed something saying you had deed to a home that was not listed on your BK filing. This is a serious enough matter for the UST to reopen in order to investigate. Keep in mind that for the time being, this is only an investigation. Although {person who hates you} may be out to get you, the UST is probably not.
My guess is that the filing that started all this mentioned nothing of the Life Estate etc. Just get your paperwork together, verify all the dates and talk to an Attorney. If your Attorney at the time felt that it did not need to be included, you will most likely prevail now.
