If you happen to have a Countrywide mortgage that was bought by Bank of America, they are going through a conversion in their system and are still using two sets of phone numbers... some of them are wrong.
I waited on hold 20 minutes and got a phone number for the right department. When I called, that number was disconnected. Calling back, have been on hold for nine minutes so far.
My recommendation is to get the phone number and ask the rep to transfer you. Occasionally you will get cut off because the one rep transfers you to the other and when they disconnect you get disconnected too.
Make sure you get the phone number they are transferring you to.
