    Judgments

what is the time frame between when you get a judgment against you in the mail , let us say you answer it , and have it postponed until you get your house in order if you know what I mean. I am trying to negotiate with my creditors after selling my property. will have just enough to pay these guys.I choose this route because I can't go through the torture of a chapter 13.After I sell and get the cash , and judgment gets on the way to my door steps ,how to go about it? If, let us say I get the cash to negotiate 15% payments, !!! Now wouldn't my creditors become greedy and want the whole thing after they know I have money in the bank!!!!

    Thanks for your response

Once you get a judgement in the mail, you have a judgement against you. As to answering a judgement, there's nothing to answer, it's a judgement!

If you're referring to a suit against you, answer it on the last day available in order to stall as long as possible. That will buy you more time.

And... as to having the cash to try to work out arrangements, you either need to have it in CASH or in a bank account that your creditors don't know about. If they know about a bank account, they can use their judgement to put a lien on your account.
