Debt Collector Calling After Discharge! What Do I Do?

We were discharged from our Ch 7 Bankruptcy a couple months ago. Today my mom got a call from PRC (debt collection) for ME.

This was a call at a place and city I've never lived. I have not received a call or any mail from PRC.

The only thing I owe at this point is student loans and I am not behind on them. There should be no debt to collect.

My mom asked that they send the information to her and did not give our phone number or address despite the guy's fishing (he thought she was my grandmother).

What do I do? Do I contact him? I have his number? Or do I ignore? I would be so embarrassed if this company contacted my grandparents or brother.

Ugh. What do I do now?

If you have an address or contact info I would contact them via certified mail and give them a copy of your discharge order. Request that the respond back with 5 days saying the will not attempt to collect on the debt or they will face sanction from the BK court.

Well, funny story...

Turns out they were calling for someone else with my first name and some wires got crossed. LOL. I am relieved. They were jerks to talk to on the phone, though.
