We are to meet with our attorney Thurs to get started with filing Ch 13. He said we would be 100% payback over next 5 years. We switched credit unions and when I was on our new credit union's site this a.m. saw that they have free debt repayment services through Accel Financial Services. They are also knows as Green Path debt solutions (which I think is the company if you don't go through a credit union). I have not found anything bad about this company when I do a google search - was wondering if anyone has heard of them?
Would it be better to go that route as opposed to filing Ch 13? On their site - they say would be debt free in 60 months, and we would need to close unsecured credit. We had not been late on any payments until we just stopped paying in Sept - but the reason we were filing is many of our rates had gone up to 30% and we just cannot get ahead - robbing Peter to pay Paul.
