I have recently found out that I am losing my job due to my company selling. I don't want to file bankruptcy but I am not sure what other options I may have with my credit. Will my creditor like credit cards accept a good faith partial payment, is this an option? How long can I let them go before I am in trouble? I live in Ohio and will only be collecting unemployment, can they garnish that? Finally, I have about 5000 in DJ equipment I purchased to start a business, a lot of that paid in cash. In a chapter 7 case, would I lose this property or is there a way to keep it. I had a good job and this economy just tooks its toll. Please give me some advice of how to deal with this and my creditors. Thanks
