How long does trustee handle your case?

Hi folks,I go to my 341 hearing tomorrow. So how long does the trustee oversee your estate? I need to cash out a life insurance policy so I can pay my vehicle insurance and registation. Is trustee in charge of my estate until discharged? I have been asking my attorney this and other questions and get no answer. Any help is appreciated.

The Trustee controls your estate. Until you know your "cash value policy" is actually exempt and the Trustee has discharged your case or declared it no-asset, do not convert anything to cash.

You will need to wait.

The Trustee may have control of your case for a long time. The minimum you need to wait, is until discharge which is 60 days past your concluded 341 Meeting.
