Filing ch 7 amendments tomorrow... QUESTION about acct nos???

I filed in pro per on 10/14/05 with an emergency petition. The court clerk's mailing went out on 10/21 to my creditor matrix.

Now I am 99.5% ready to print all my schedules and file my amendments tomorrow... deadline FRIDAY 10/28. I'll pay the $28 fee since I added a few more creditors and addresses to my mailing matrix (and my Schedule F which I did not file yet.)

I have been checking and re-checking my statements vs. my collection accts and my three credit reports ... to make sure I did not overlook any creditors.

I have a LOT confuzzzion about account numbers and mailing addresses, I have some old accounts that I had not paid on for more than two years, and I have moved twice ... so the creditors may not been able to send me their latest info ...

In good faith, I have listed everyting that I know about, but maybe I have the wrong account number or an old address (some creditors have more than three different addresses...) and some account numbers from the credit report and collection agencies are weird ... a few debts are more than three years old ...

If Big Corporation XYZ (say AMEX, or CITIBANK, or SPRINT PCS, etc...) gets the court notice with my SSN and my name and my current address... is it not THEIR responsibility to match me up with my old accounts?

What happens if they fail to match up my account numbers via my SSN? Meanwhile, I may have no way of knowing if they have sold my debt to some collection agency ABC...

Have I covered myself sufficiently, or could some debts survive even if I get fully discharged via my bankruptcy, because I used the creditor's old address or incorrect account number?

Should I spend more hours of research to verify each and every address?

What is the real story here? How does it really work?

I'm in N. California ... Thanks for your replies!

As long as you list the creditor, you're fine. If they somehow fail to note an account, you can always resolve it later by sending that creditor a copy of your BK notice and a copy of your list of creditors, which will include them.
Most of my information is from personal experience or HOURS and HOURS of online research. When you're searching online, keep in mind there is no guarantee that the info is completely up to date, and your situation is unique from anyone else's. Do your homework, and consult with an attorney so you can make an informed decision.
