    Question Pre B/K class.....

I have to take the pre-B/K class, my attorney said I can take it online and gave me the web address for where to go to.

My question is what is the class like? Is it all question and answer? Are there videos you have to watch? Do you call a phone number while taking the class?

    Thanks.

The pre-filing I took was a few screens asking you to input income, then basic expenses (rent, phone bill, health care, etc.) and then pulled your credit report to input your debt data, then a final page that explained my obligations are more than I make in income.

It gave a few suggestions on how to increase income (get a second job) or pay off debt (refinance, consolidate, etc.).

I had to check in two or three times via a web chat, just giving them the code number that was displayed on my screen and they gave the password to the next section.

The certificate was emailed the next day.

Some other companies will speak to you on the phone instead of the web chat.

Your second course, post-filing, usually consists of watch 2 hours of videos explaining budgeting and finance terms. Then a short multiple choice to show you watched the videos.

None of it is complicated, and you can't fail it. It's more a matter of having done it than necessarily having learned anything from it.
