Hello, two questions, is it possible to star a loan mod. process after a plan has been confirmed in court and how do you ask permission to the court to do so? does anyone know, thank.

The banks are going to tell you they need you to "lift the automatic stay" in order to do the loan mod. What that means is the house will no longer be protected in the bankruptcy.
There is mixed authority on whether the banks really need to Lift Stay to do this, personally, I don't think they need a lift stay to modify the terms of a loan as that is not collection activity. -

If you mod your loan, and the payment goes down, and you don't tell the trustee, and the trustee finds out, that could be problematic. But at same time, I don't think you need to seek permission.Comment
