    Question Term Life Insurance

    I am thinking of buying 30 yrs term life insurance for myself & wifey @ $500K each. Will this be viewed strangely by the trustee since it will be made effective a few weeks before I file?

    I want to include the monthly premiums in my means test calc.
    2009-Jan: Retained Atty
    2009-Oct: Filed Ch7
    2009-Nov: 341 held
    2010-Jan: Discharged on Pacer

    My attorney told me that was perfectly acceptable and a legitimate expense as I wanted it for our schedule J as well.
    Well, I did. Every one of 'em. Mostly I remember the last one. The wild finish. A guy standing on a station platform in the rain with a comical look in his face because his insides have been kicked out. -Rick

      Just added a 500K policy for myself this week.

        Ohh nooeez!! sez ze attorney!

        Just got an email from my attorney telling me to hold off buying the life insurance until my 341 is done...oh well!
        2009-Jan: Retained Atty
