Philadelphia-area lawyer - suggestions?

Hi all -

We are soon to file a Chapter 13 and are thisclose to signing on with a lawyer. We are filling out his paperwork, doing CCCS, etc. I think he's a qualified guy - did all kinds of googling, checked out if he had any complaints against him, etc - and it seems good. But I wonder if anyone happens to have any recommendations in the Philadelphia area before we sign on. It's a lot of money, and our case is a complicated mess, and our future is really in this person's hands, and I'm scared! He was the second person we interviewed and I'm had a good feeling about him, but I'm not 100% sure.

While we cannot recommend attorneys/firms in this forum, the best thing for you to do is to call the PA State Bar and ask for reputable attorneys in your area who handle personal BKs. The firm I was going to recommend to you via PM only handles Chapter 11's and they are the best. The Phila. area has some top notch firms so if you've done your homework on the attorney/firm, you should be fine. If your matter is complicated, do not cut costs and go with the 2:00 a.m. firm that advertises on the cable channel...you get what you pay for.
