    61 days...why not discharged?

We are now on day 61, according to PACER, yet it still shows us as awaiting discharge. Anyone know why this is? I thought it would automatically discharge us on day 60, since our last day for objections was 7/7. I'm getting antsy, just praying this is over with soon (today would be nice). Thanks.

Some Districts... well, many Districts... are running behind due to the sheer volume of cases. Some Districts allow automatic discharges and closings, while many do not. If you are in a district that does the discharge manually, then you'll just have to wait until they get to it.

Have you asked your attorney what the average time is for Discharges in your District? S/he would know better.

Hi Frustrated, I know your feeling. In our case, we were extended an additional 60 days because we were an Asset case. When that time passed and it was goin on another two months, 'Hub called the courthouse to find out why. It turned out that the hold up was the lack of a copy of our marriage license in our files. Why they wanted it we don't know, but the trustee did. The really frustrating part was that we had a copy of it with us to give to the trustee at our 341, but he said he didn't need it.

Once we had our lawyer upload it to the case file, we were discharged that very afternoon.

      Good luck.
