How to track down all debts?

    Hello,

First post here, I am in the early stages of filing for bankruptcy. I could use some advice on how to track down all my debts, so that I can list them in my bankruptcy.

I have gotten my credit report from all three agencies, but they don't list everything, partly because over the last few years I've gone through them and challenged a lot of negative information, some of which was removed. I've also moved around some and don't have complete records.

Any ideas on how to get information on any debts that might be out there that I may have forgotten about? Most bankruptcy books and advice seem to start with "First, list all your debts" without giving any tips on how to do that for those of us whose histories are a little...tangled.

    Thanks.

Do you know the Statute of Limitations for collections for your state? Knowing that would probably help you as far as whether you need to worry or not.
Well, I did. Every one of 'em. Mostly I remember the last one. The wild finish. A guy standing on a station platform in the rain with a comical look in his face because his insides have been kicked out. -Rick
