    What a mess now!

I owe BofA about 25k now.

I am seeing a lawyer this week to hopefully begin the bk process.

THE PROBLEM: I think the BofA card also has my wife as a co-applicant. We have been divorved for 5-6 years now but we opened this account back in about 2000 or so.

If I go bk, will BofA be able to sue her for the balance on this card?

If she was a co-applicant, and has not been successfully removed from the account(most unlikely) then yes they can and will.

Check your credit report, it will list whether any acct is individual or joint responsibility.
