I have not posted in a while but wanted you all to know I still read several times a day and think about you all lots. Welcome to the new posters! Things here are ruff. We are trying to dig ourselves out of the BK and have been doing ok. I have caught up all of our small credit cards and paid off a few. I am now trying to get the best deal with the big ones. We have choosen not to settle on a lower amount owed and pay what we owe over a period of time with the lowest interest rate we can get. Citi gave us 0% and Chase is at 5% while BoA and Advanta are only coming down to 9%. My husband is still in the process of buying a dental practice from the dead guy. That takes time so we still are telling our creditors he is pretty much not employed other than a temp job. I think that is helping us not get so many calls and they are all very nice on the phone. My house is now caught up after being 5 months behind on my 1st and 2nd. So what happens now will happen and I know I have given it my best shot. I must admit a little seceret most of the cards that have been paid off or we owe very little on were mine alone. They were my store credit cards, so when we do get a call I make my husband talk to them. I always say hey that is your card not mine. We should have just filed!! I didn't owe nearly as much and it was easier to catch up. I still am keeping up on everyone and think about you all often. I have not used a credit card and have no plans on it no matter what. It feels great to live on cash and I am still living on my BK budget. I have learned from this no matter how it turned out!! Blessings!

I'm glad things are turning around for you.

You know some economic gurus say pay the smallest ones off first then work up to the bigger ones. This way you can see the progress .

Hopefully you can find the strength together to overcome this great obstacle and as you do so you'll find renewed strength together .

It is all good right at this second but that is it we are living second by second. I could end up right back where I was tomorrow! I think I have learned so much from this and now I know my kids don't need new toys every trip to the store and I don't need a new handbag every week. No matter how this turns out it will have turned out the way the Good Lord Planned it!! To teach my dumb a** a lesson. I was a spoiled rotten brat and so are my children.
