341 meeting

Okay, so this might seem like nitpicking, but I have a very specific question: When, exactly, does the 341 Meeting get scheduled? I know it's supposed to happen approx. 30 days after filing, but when does that date get set? Am I notified by mail, or at the filing.

I am considering "emergency filing" this week just to get the ball rolling (I am planning to move this fall and am beginning to anticipate a creditor objection, yikes!). Does *all* of my paperwork have to be filed before the 341 Meeting even gets scheduled?

My 341 was about two months after I filed all of my bk paperwork. I am in a chapter 13.

Yes all the paper work would have to be filed to get the date, once it is all filed you would receive a letter from the court within a week which will have the assigned 341 date, assigned judge and assigned trustee to the case. The 341 itself is usually 30-45 days from date of filing though local caseloads can affect this.

If you do the emergency filing,you must complete the balance of the bk paperwork within 15 days of your filing.
