Wow, we are twins! Have you stopped paying your CC minimum payments then? Have you spoken to anyone at your employer about possibly filing for BK?

Yup I stopped paying my cc back in Dec. 08. I haven't talked to anyone at work about filing bk but it looks like i may have to pursue that route since some creditors like discover refuse to work out a reasonable settlement offer. Plus I don't want to deal with the whole 1099 tax issue.

I hear what you are saying. I would appreciate it if you would let me know how the bank reacts to your news. I am thinking about telling the HR department soon, just to give them a heads up and see how they react...
