Reaffirmation

Hello, everyone.

I'm new here and I had a quick question.

Today is the big day. I have my 341 meeting this afternoon and I had a question about my car.

When I initially filled out my paperwork, I wanted to reaffirm my car. I was thinking that it would help my credit once the BK was completed, since I've made all my payments on time.

After doing some research and talking to those who have already been through the BK process, I've decided that I do not want to reaffirm the car.

Is it too late to change my mind?

just curious...why did you change your mind?

A couple reasons:

- I owe a lot more than the car is worth.

- The mileage is high.

- It decided to shut off on me 5 times this weekend, while in the middle of the street.

- I can get another, newer car while making the same payments.
