filling CH13 in two weeks, layed off today..

We just found out tonight that in two weeks we wont have a job. We are scheduled to file a CH13 on May 22. Of course we'll contact our attorney first thing in the morning. Any advice? I'm still reeling

If you have a change in circumstance, you can convert or change your filing to a chapter 7. Hang in there.

Yep, call your atty and see about getting it changed to a 7. We had the same thing happen but ours hadn't been filed yet. We were still above the means but were able to file 7 on change of circumstance since our current income is well below the means.
