My attorney said that tax refunds are NOT considered income because they are basically like a savings account as the money was yours to begin with when you got your paycheck. This makes sense to me, but I've read many times and was also told by another attorney that tax returns ARE considered income. Can anyone shed light on this? I personally don't think it should be considered income on top of them looking at your gross pay, but what do I know. I am in Georgia, BTW.
