Can't wait until they start calling when they realize they won't get anymore payments from me (husband just lost job and we'll be declaring Chapter 7 in a few months...)

You are waiting for the fun to begin (sort of speak)- for me, Citibank ignored the stay when I filed and called like ten times a day - well, I should say their computer called me ten times a day (I hadn't been late on a payment so technically I shouldn't have gotten any calls at all from them). BoA and Chase never called but no, not Citibank - they really justs suck. I think they must really have BAD departmental communications - I mean, I find it hard to believe that BoA and Chase all got my filing notice but not Citibank - I don't believe it. But once I answered the phone because I got sick of the calls and told them what was up - the guy was polite and put me on the no call list and I had no more calls after that. And that was the only thing that was good about Citibank -ever.

When I see someone whip out an American Express card these days... I think FOOL. I paid those annual fees for so many years just for the status symbol, and I had 4 gold cards. Finally happy to see them go away.
I must say I WANT Citibank out of my life FOREVER! I wouldn't take a loan from them if they paid me (well, wait -- free loan hmmm maybe - that would never happen). But I bet I will still get credit card offers from them someday - they still send me Balance Transfer offers and stuff - they are really slow to get a clue.

I would also be happy to have cc's out of my life FOREVER too. I hope to get used to the fact that I can only buy if I have the cash. I will have many future years to get used to that new way of living. I am starting to think like that when I am at the checkout - I see people with cards that are not debit cards and I think "I wonder how much they owe?" Than I think - that used to be me.

And what's more funny is the sheriff actually showed up at my door that afternoon. What a bunch of losers lol. btw my ch 7 did get filed the next day
I second that with NFCU! They called daily and blocked caller id. I would answer occasionally and tell them they already had my lawyers info (I had not filed yet, but had retained a lawyer). I talked to them on a Friday. I did not answer the phone Saturday. They called my siblings in other states that Sunday.
