AMEX Blue sent GTL (I think) after me. They are based in the same city I live in. They called me at my summer job (a place I worked for 6 years and then came back just to consult over the summer) and were telling me they would let my employer know.....it was kind of funny.

They started calling 3 days after it was late. Called all day every day. 10 days later I had my case number, so I picked up the phone and gave them the information. She was very snoty and rude but I have not heard from them after that.
Sounds like the key with Amex is not talk to them until you get a case number.
They are horrible though. My Father passed away last year and he owed them around 12k. They were actually calling me at work and asking about his account. I went off on them because they looked up my contact info from my account to call me and ask about my Fathers estate. My father did not have an estate and I told them that. I advised them that calling me about another persons account was illegal and they would regret harrasing me over my fathers debt. He was only passed for just under a month and they were not only calling me, but everyone with the same last name that lived in the region. Very, very illegal.
Oh and when I told them they would regret harrasing me over his debt! I filed BK7 owing them 17k!Retained Attorney= 03/13/2009

They just offered me a 50% settlement on a $6xxx balance (my Hilton Honors Card). For my Delta Amex, I was served a summons within the last two weeks from an attorney. I owe $19,xxx on that card.Comment
