Obama praises the virtues of bankruptcy

I was listening to the news station today and nearly drove off the road hearing our president talking about the Chrysler bk today. What struck me the most was him saying how he could not stand for a few creditors holding out for better terms and not just giving Chrysler what they wanted. I feel the same way about my creditors that want me to pay 29.99% until I lose my house, I think that is unreasonable. He says he won't stand for it with Chrysler, what about every American being screwed? Will he allow quick "surgical cuts" for us? I already know the the answer. I encourage everyone here to read a transcript of his remarks, I'll read them to the UST when he gets to my future case.
This has been the most nerve wrecking 2 weeks of my life, years of building good credit gone in days. The fear of the phone ringing at all times, trying to shield my wife and children. I only hope I can hold it together long enough to get through this. Thanks to all on this board for the postings and info without it I feel I would be lost.

    I am so with you

Couldn't agree more. Thank God for this forum, but then why do I see ads on THIS website that actually read BANKRUPTCY IS STUPID. No one WANTS to do this and this is not a stupid choice--it's the only one we have!! I've had excellent credit my whole life, and it wasn't until this economy decimated my business that it came to this. Why on this site, where I have come to expect respect and support do I have to read this ad???

I guess someone needs to pay for it.

Some people are left without any other options other than bankruptcy due to unfair circumstances.
