best way to sell items?

We are going to need to sell some things after this BK is over and done with, since we will need the money for property taxes this summer. We are a no-asset Chapter 7 case and listed everything, so I'm not concerned with it being a problem to sell things afterwards. My question is regarding the best way to sell our items to get the most money out of it. Some of what we want to sell include jewelry (diamond and gemstones) and exercise equipment. Is it best to go to a jewelry store that buys used jewelry or would it be best to list these items in the paper? I won't sell on ebay, because I wouldn't get hardly anything for any of it there. Any suggestions?

Brand specific dealers might work well too.
