    Netspend.com

I received in the mail today a prepaid, reloadable Visa. It is from Netspend.com. The only thing that needs to be done is calling a # to activate it. I DID NOT apply for this, nor do I want it. It says one of their partners recommended me as a potential cardholder who would benefit from the popular Netspend Prepaid Visa Card. It goes on to say it is issued by MetaBank. I'm just wondering if these places search for open BK cases and feel the debtor would benefit from these types of cards? I'm going to shred it.

I reserve hotel rooms with my ATM/debit card all the time and have never had a problem. When I get there I just pay in cash, otherwise they put a "hold" on a portion of your bank account.

I use my ATM/Debit Card all the time as a Credit Card. I make reservations for hotel, plane tickets, any charges through the internet with it.

My card says MasterCard on it and I just type in the number from the card and usually they will want the last three digits off of the back of the card and month/yr of expiration.

If you are making reservations over the phone, don't tell them it is a debit card. Just tell them whether it is a Visa/MasterCard or whatever and give them the information.

I don't think there are any Banks out there, anymore, who just issue an ATM card only???
