    Need Case Studies

    #2
Ooh, ooh pick me, pick me, I qualify for both!

Just kidding, don't want my miserable financial affairs published for all to see and held in posterity in book format.

Just joshin', but good luck with that, you might want to let people know if the case studies are "anonymous".

I personally wouldn't want a stranger pokin around in my life's messes.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, case studies can be anonymous or we can just use a first name and last initial. Whatever people are most comfortable with!

There is a site called rentalforeclosure.com, you might have better luck there, there are a lot of angry tenants who have been royally screwed by LL's renting houses that were in FC at the time of renting or very soon after.

          Thank you!

I have to say, I do not understand your concept about being a victim of bankruptcy, foreclosure or repossession. I believe we all make financial choices and sometimes outside events happen for which we have not planned. But that in no way makes me a victim. Also, bankruptcy is the legal and logical cure to extreme financial hardship. So bankruptcy is the solution to the problem, not a problem in and of itself. It is not easy to work through, or sometimes even to admit, that one can not meet our financial burdens - but it is better to recognize it and handle the problem then continue in the downward spiral. I hope you orient your writing toward the recognition and solving of financial pitfalls, rather than the shame of filing bankruptcy. JMO.

Victim mentality is becoming prevalent in this country. Everybody's a victim of this or a victim of that (Thanks Don Henley!). I'm with you entirely. I'm no victim. I'm a consumer making a decision in the best interest of my family and our futures. That's hardly victimhood!
Well, I did. Every one of 'em. Mostly I remember the last one. The wild finish. A guy standing on a station platform in the rain with a comical look in his face because his insides have been kicked out. -Rick

Yep, I am not a victim. I made a business decision to file bankruptcy. I have a SSN ID rather than a state for federal ID on which to file my bankruptcy. Some people have had some bad luck and couldn't help. That's why we have the BK law. You might want to write about the decision making process and the personal and legal hurdles.

WARNING - Members, this person did not approach our forum administrator or moderators to ask permission to solicit for volunteers here. He/she has shared no reliable contact information other than to request PMs which allows him/her to remain completely anonymous.

We have no way to know if this person is who he/she says they are. If you choose to contact this person, it is at your own risk. You might as well dial up a random number in the phone book and spill your personal and financial information to a (hopefully benign) stranger. Personally this is not a risk I would take.

TCarr, if you are legitimate, then go about this solitation the appropriate way and provide veriable information that proves your legitimacy by PM to our administrator, Laz, and moderators (HHM, Flamingo, AngelinaCat, lrprn, and BassBoy). If you pan out as legit, then we'll lift the caution from your request thread.

Why would someone want to write a book on this subject when there is one out there already under a similar title and format? Hopefully people are smart enough to check things out before they respond to any solicitations on any forum:

Go to the bottom or google the book. Folks, always do your homework before responding to anything from any unknown source. You don't want to give out your private information to anyone unless you know who they are.

Yes, and if you look at the bottom of the page it reads:

PRE-ORDER ONLY - YOUR CREDIT CARD WILL NOT BE CHARGED UNTIL THE PRODUCT SHIPS. RELEASE DATE: SPRING 2009

This is the book I'm currently in the process of writing. It will be a step-by-step guide to get out of a bad financial situation and turn things around. And, sorry if I offended anyone with the "victim" descriptor. I will go through the proper channels next time.
