    Local rules question

I am filing pro se under chapter 7. I am reading on my districts website and it has the following rule...

    (1) In a case filed under chapter 7, 9, 12, or 13, an original and four sets of copies of the petition, lists, schedules and statements must be filed with the clerk. In a case filed under chapter 11, an original and six sets of copies must be filed with the clerk.

I think I know what it means, but can someone verify that I need to send 5 of everything with the word petition, list, schedule and statement in the forms title?

Yep, you need 5 of everything when you file your petition.

That is a lot! I only needed 2 copies.

Time to buy some ink. By the time you're done, you probably could have paid an attorney with the money you spent on printer ink!

    Just kiddin

When I was researching this for Colorado, I found one doc that said exactly what you are quoting above, but later I found that this had been changed.

More than likely, the rule was written before PACER, and it may have changed since then.

Instead of having 4 copies, like I originally thought, I just needed one.

Call the clerk at the BK court and ask them, they will give you a definite answer and possible save your toner cartridge.

          Easy fix
