Did you ever provide atty with narrative history?

Has anyone ever been asked by their atty to provide a narrative history?

The atty asked that I write it all out so he will know all about our situation when it comes to pleding our case with the Trustee.

I am not sure how far to go back.....maybe like when I was 13 yrs old started working and have supported myself ever since. I worked 2 jobs most of my adult life until have my children. We moved to give the kids a better life. All cc accounts opened in 1995-1999 and paid as agreed until last yr. I worked out payment arrangements with some of the companies but with a decrease in pay, and more expenses these options are not working anymore. Now within 1 yr we are unable to pay any bills and I am desparately looking for work.

So, the atty says that it will all show our good history and how we have not abused the system.

Do you think I should start at age 13 and tell my whole story or just tell about our last 2-3 yrs?

    Thanks again for everyones input.

I think 13 is overkill...I would start when you were doing ok and then what happened to start this mess for you and go from there. You dont want a novel just how this happened..
I haven't heard anyone else asking for this. Not a bad idea tho if you have a tough trustee

I only wrote a narrative for my divorce attorney. But it is a good idea.

      I divided into 3 section.
      The beginning
      The growth years
      Last years
      The final several months.

Maybe you could do something similiar where you begin with discussing how you handled your finances, then when difficulties began, how you tried to solve them, and then how it got real bad.

I think the attorney is just trying to understand and represent you well.
Much thanks for all the support and information I receive on this forum.
