I'm just guessing here, but maybe because the money is outside of your household and since the card is paid off?? I think the only thing that is saving my a** is that I could argue that the money going to my husband's card came from a checking account on which he is listed and to which he makes regular deposits. It should be difficult for them to prove that the money he paid was mine vs. his. We definitely both have unique situations, don't we? Certainly our attorneys will have dealt with something like it before!

I know, it is so confusing. The first time I brought it up my attorney said Oh just tell the trustee you d not want your mother knowing and he will want you to pay him the money.

The second time he said, well they could go after your mom(but he had no idea if they would) and try to get a judgement against her and she can settle for a certain amount or just blow off the letter since wage garnishment in Texas is against the law.

Will it all show up on Pacer once I file so I will atleast know that they sent her something or that they are going to try and collect the money back from her.

Seems to me they would go after the cc i paid and get the money back. I mean, I paid way more than that in the last year on my credit cards.
