    worried about everything

My husband and I have an appointment tomorrow with the BK attorney to go over the BK packet we filled out and get things going. I'm worried though, even though I really think this is the best option for us. In reality, it's really the only option we have left at this point. Anyways, I'm worried that something will go wrong. I'm worried that with me starting a new job, even though we are well below median income for the past six months, that my new job income (even though it's not much) will cause something to go wrong and we will end up forced into a Chapter 13. I'm worried that something could go wrong with the reaffirmation agreements (1st and 2nd mortgages and car) and even though we are current the banks may refuse to reaffirm and we could lose our home. I know that this event is unlikely, but I worry because from my understanding once we file we cannot stop it. Does anyone know how likely either of these things might be? Does the reaffirmation agreement go through before we actually file for BK, so we would know ahead of time if everything is set? I'm just worried something will go wrong.

Thanks everyone. Sorry for being such a worrier, but this whole thing has me so stressed out.

    Don't worry!

The bank doesn't want your car and they don't want your house.

I just went through all of this myself and I'm in the 60 day period. I started to reaffirm on a car but decided to give it up AFTER they had sent me the paperwork. They came and got it after I called them 100 times asking them to.

Countrywide sends me a "statement" each month but does not request a payment. They just inform me of balance and I send out the payment or pay it by phone.

You should feel good about yourself and don't beat yourself up. You'll hear alot of horror stories but you'll hear just as many good outcomes. Keep your chin up and don't listen to anyone but your attourney. You paid him/her for a reason.

If you have questions post them up! If you don't get the answer you wanted don't freak out, just get a second opinion from your lawyer!

    Good luck! You'll be fiiiine!

      I agree with confused.

Try not to be too down, that is hard at this time for you I'm sure. You will get past this and things will get better.

Banks definitely dont want your house or cars if youre current.
