Got the discharge...now what's all the calls?!

So I got my Ch 7 discharge in the mail about 9 days ago. Was so proud of it I bought a frame and hung it in my bathroom. Life has been peaceful for awhile since filing; no phone calls, very little mail. So nice...
Well, today I dig my cell phone out of a drawer, and find that I'd had 14 calls. No messages were left at all. I got online and used the "whocalled" site to trace the numbers. Turns out 12 of the calls were from a "Guglielmo and Associates" apparrantly out of Arizona. The other number had no specific info, but same area code, so I'm thinking same person/people. In doing some research online it appears that this Guglielmo and Assoc. is a low firm that is associated with some serious bottom-feeders. I'm sure once I talk to them, they'll be trying to get me to pay one of my discharged debts if what I'm seeing about them is true. Also, in doing this research it appeared that LOTS of people seem to be pestered by rather aggressive collectors who've bought their discharged debts. And it appeared that quite often these collectors KNOW that their trying to collect on debts that were included in a BK. Is this common now? Is it legal? My understanding was that it was illegal to attempt to collect on a discharged debt. Just wondering if my nice, quiet life is now going to revert back to the noise of collectors...

If you filed with a lawyer, take the info to him. If they mail you anything keep it.

Respond once with a copy of your discharge letter and creditor matrix.

Inform them that you are well aware of your rights and that you know it is a 1000 dollar fine for each violation they enter into of the Court's final decree. Judge's don't like it when folks ignore their decrees.......

I've had no problems, my lawyer did a very good job I think. It might take you a couple weeks to straighten this out but you should be able to have a quiet life
May 31st, 2007: Petition Filed by my lawyer

Thank you for the info. I will check with my lawyer about the situation and potential others.
