Question Social Security retirement and Disability benefits?

What about Social Security retirement and Disability benefits?

I'm sure within time, we will be getting the dreaded phone calls (everything was paid up until the last of December) and then legal actions will come forth.

Has any one dealt with filing bankruptcy and only having government income -will it be in danger? This is our only income.

As far as I can tell, nobody can touch your Social Security.

A note of warning though: While your SS benefits may not be garnished - when the automic deposit hits your bank account it is just money. If creditors get a default judgment that includes bank freezes/levies it will become a real PITA to unfreeze that account, and you will have to prove that there are no co-migled amounts in that account but just the SS.
