    Considering bankruptcy

It took me two years to come to this point. After leaving my ex boyfriend who I bought a mobile home with over two years ago, I am in financial ruin. My ex stayed in the house instead of letting me and the kids live there. We had to go stay in a shelter (domestic violence) until I bought a re-conditioned mobile home to live in. Now he has failed to make payments and is over $1,000 behind. I have been sending in money to the company now and then after being threatened with repo's for several months, but could not afford to send more. It kind of bothered me to pay for his fat butt to live there also! Anyhow, I have 8 credit cards with close to $10,000 spread out between them I owe. A leased vehicle, and my mobile home loan on the place I live in. I am expecting a $5,000 income tax return.
The old mobile home is being repo'd. I got a letter from some lawyers the other day.
I am scheduled to see a bankruptcy lawyer tomorrow. My income is low enough that I probably qualify for Chapter 7. My current boyfriend says I should try to do debt consolidation, but I don't know how that will work with the repo'd trailer. Also I doubt I could make the payments for debt consolidation anyhow! I am barely keeping my head above water now and the boyfriend buys the bulk of the groceries.
    Advice anyone?

My advice is if you are the position to do a 7--why ever wouldn't ou. Yeah. your current boyfriend wants you to do debt consolidation...WHY? And what does it have to do with him?
