Stay away from those debt settlement negotiators. Most if not all are scamjobs who don't look out for your interest, but their own/lining their pockets.
I'll repeat what has already been posted. Stay away. There's a case listed on Bankruptcy Law Network in which a debtor used a law firm posing as a "negotiation" company. She paid them thousands and dollars with no results.
You can do all the things that they can do by calling yourself and saving hundreds if not thousands of dollars.
If you do decide to use a debt consolidation company, use one that you understand the fees and that they don't charge you for their service.
