    thought i was alone

    Hello all.
Brand new here. Went to see attorney this morning.Considering chap7,but only had 5or 6 questions. We were ready to give 200$deposit ,he said it would be enough to stop the constant phone calls.

We were all ready to go ,....or so we thought.

As luck would have it we did not heve our check book with us at the time.

Good thing,......as soon as we left the attornies office,we realised we suddenly had forgot about a THOUSAND QUESTIONS....apon returning home, decided to do some research.

Found this forum just today.Very interesting to know so many people have been thru, and are going thru, the same type of thing...I've been reading post on here for about 3 hrs now.
Looks like i'm going to be here pretty often.I find it very informing .

We are deffinitely going to do more research before we make any solid committmit.

I still have the 1000 questions, but will wait and try to prioritize them best i can first. Some have been answered allready here on this forum.

Thanks in advance for your help ,and for this forum.

I apoligies in advance for my horrible typing, misspelling, and punctuation. What can i say ? they didn't have puters when i was a kid,had to walk to school 10 mi each way in the snow etc. etc. etc.see where this is going LOL .
Starting to feel a little less stressed allready

Welcome to the forum down n dirty! Glad that you have found us. We have a great group here with many knowledgable members that are more than willing to offer advice and suggestions.

With regards to your attorney visit...........the consults are usually free, so make appoinments with a few other BK attorneys, if for some reason you feel unsure of the attorney you spoke with. And once you do retain an attorney, don't ever be afraid to contact them with questions. After all, you're paying them to do a job.

BTW, the forum does have a spell check in the Go Advanced feature and there is also an "Edit" icon in the lower right hand corner of your posts that you can use.

Thanks ,found the spell check thing. hopefully i will remember to use it. Yes ,the visit was free as you said. I was kinda bothered that the attorney did not ask us more.

We are going to get 1 or2 more consults before we take the plunge.

      Can you tell me how to post the info msg after the post i see on others;

      filed.......
      closed......
      discharged .....
      etc. etc.

      thanks

I experienced this when we were visting with attorneys. Some are very thorough, while others seem to get you in and out like a fast food drive thru window.

The ones that rush you in and out are the ones I would avoid. That would tell you a lot about how they may handle your case. IMO, the attorney should have the same manner as a Doctor.....caring and compasionate.

                First real question

After 1st visit remembered i had a truck in my name...Ilet my cousin take over payments on it apr 2yrs ago.Ikept it in my name, and he only has a few pmts to go.I do not want to lose that truck,[actually his truck now] as he has made all the pmts on time.He kept his end of the deal,i want to do the same.
It slipped my mind when att. asked about vehicles. We told him about our current truck, and car, that we would probably let them go,and get some junk buggies......But what to do about the truck i sold to cousin, but left in my name till paid off?
