Question Does anyone know of a good credit counseling company?

Does anyone know of a good credit counseling company that does pre- and post- bankruptcy counseling for CA either online or over the phone?

    Thanks!

We did ours through Money Management. It was quick, easy, cheap, and painless. It was over the phone, took a matter of minutes.

Our attorney recommended this company, but I'm sure there are other great ones out there.

    Good luck!

I am in CA and I used....

....ConsumerBankruptcyCounseling.info (a project of the Tides Center). It was approved in my district (Northern CA) and it was FREE. I did everything online and within 2 days had my certificate emailed to me. Hope that helps.

We also went with moneymanagement.org about... 7yrs ago and they were awesome. It didn't even affect our credit AT ALL. We had credit scores in the mid 700s only months after ending the program 3yrs ago.

I used springboard.org. Make sure that whatever service you use is acceptable in your district first.

Here is the link to the DOJ website which lists approved agencies in your state.
